EU funding of adaptation

The EU uses a variety of tools to finance climate change adaptation throughout Europe. At least 25% of the European budget must go toward climate-related spending, according to the Multiannual Financial Framework 2021–2027. As a result, all major EU spending programs must incorporate climate adaptation measures, and a monitoring system is implemented to ensure that these goals are fulfilled.
